This week, we announced the launch of the newest product from Owl Labs: the Whiteboard Owl, our dedicated whiteboard camera. When paired with the Meeting Owl Pro, the Whiteboard Owl enhances and sharpens the view of the whiteboard so remote participants can finally follow and participate in the discussion.
Designed by the Owl Labs product and engineering teams led by roboticists, the Whiteboard Owl was built to support more inclusive hybrid brainstorms and lectures where remote participants can see writing on the board and participate in the conversation in real-time.

The Whiteboard Owl works with any magnetic whiteboard by placing included Whiteboard Tags in two corners of the board and flipping them over to quickly and easily toggle between views of the whiteboard and the meeting participants, making the meeting or classroom experience inclusive for everyone.
Whiteboard Owl features include:
- Whiteboard Enhance: Our proprietary technology improves visibility of writing on the board with increased clarity and contrast and reduced shadows.
- Presenter Transparency: AI and computer vision makes the presenter transparent when they’re writing on the board so it’s never blocked from the view of participants.
- Whiteboard Capture: The Whiteboard Owl automatically captures high-resolution whiteboard images in real-time during the meeting, which attendees can view and download so collaboration can continue after the meeting.
- Flexible Setup: The Whiteboard Owl is the only whiteboard camera in-market with multiple mounting options for different room configurations and automatic whiteboard cropping based on whiteboard size. The Whiteboard Owl can be mounted on a wall, ceiling, or tripod within 7-16 feet of the whiteboard, and from 16 feet away, the Whiteboard Owl can support boards up to 20 feet x 15 feet.
- 360° Views: Pairs with the Meeting Owl Pro to enable viewing the whiteboard and 360° views of the room simultaneously.
