The next-gen Meeting Owl 3 is a revolutionary leap forward in video meeting technology. It enables seamless hybrid collaboration that helps remote attendees feel like they’re right in the room — and ensures that every attendee knows they’ll be seen and heard, no matter how soft their voice, or loud the background noise. Proximity bias is real, and investing in great technology like the Meeting Owl 3 can uncomplicate hybrid meetings and make sure everyone is seen and heard, which can help reduce the impact of physical distance.

Placed at the center of the room, the Meeting Owl 3 facilitates a 360-degree view of any room, so no nuances are lost in cyberspace. The Meeting Owl is also smart, thanks to the Owl Intelligence System (OIS). The Meeting Owl’s OIS simultaneously focuses on whoever’s speaking to make sure their points and ideas come across.

The enhanced OIS - which was released in June 2022 - has many upgraded features that make managing your Meeting Owls easier than ever, and it allows the system to get better over time with upgrades and software updates. Plus, Owl Labs now offers a more robust suite of capabilities for tech teams to easily manage a whole fleet of Owl Labs devices, from near or far.

Your IT team will love how easy it is to maintain your Meeting Owls with fleet management on The Nest.

The Nest + fleet management

The Nest — Owl Labs’ remote management system — is the platform that allows IT admins and authorized users to manage all the Meeting Owls at their company, whether it’s to fix an issue with one Meeting Owl, analyze meeting analytics, or push a software update live across every Meeting Owl in the office.

Fleet management is how Owl Labs refers to setting up, using, and maintaining all the hybrid meeting technology in an office.

The Nest and OIS have been updated to allow IT teams to do the following:

  1. Manage default settings remotely and initiate software updates: IT Admins no longer need to be at the office to manage default settings across the whole fleet of Meeting Owls. If an Owl is connected to WiFi, its settings can be updated via the Nest. The same goes for software updates — IT admins can remotely initiate software updates.
  2. See which Meeting Owls are connected: Online and offline statuses are reflected in real-time in The Nest, so your IT team can always quickly identify and solve any connectivity issues.
  3. Receive notifications: IT admins and authorized users of The Nest can opt-in to receive web and email notifications for devices that go offline or to receive alerts about new team members wanting to join The Nest.
  4. View and manage device detail pages: IT admins and authorized users can access device details for every Meeting Owl in the fleet.
  5. Benefit from improved team and user management: New Nest users must be invited by an admin, improving privacy and security.

Practical Owl Labs fleet management applications

Make the most of your company’s Meeting Owls, and empower better hybrid collaboration with Owl Labs’ fleet management. Here’s how.

1. For meetings and brainstorms, add and sync additional Meeting Owls

It’s easy to pair two Meeting Owls. The Owl’s OIS seamlessly connects them for an immersive experience for remote participants. This setup also allows quieter voices and masked attendees to be heard even more clearly. If any issues arise, IT can step in remotely using The Nest.

2. Learn from the Meeting Analytics in The Nest and improve workflows

The Nest provides an analytics dashboard that lets you see all the data you need to know about individual Meeting Owls or about your entire fleet, like how many attendees your meetings have, and total number of meetings on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. This can help make the business case to upgrade your tech and get more Meeting Owls and Expansion Mics and can help you find and optimize any inefficiencies in your hybrid communication systems.

3. Seamlessly manage IT devices from one central location

With a dashboard on The Nest that includes status for individual devices, IT managers can keep a close eye on all Meeting Owls. When a device is offline or needs attention, you can spot it and fix it before employees need to file a ticket.
