We’re always looking for new ways to make hybrid meetings a more natural and inclusive experience through innovative video conferencing technology. Over the last few months we released several software updates that made our products even wiser with new features for The Nest, Meeting Owl 3, and the Meeting Owl app. Let’s take a closer look at what these new features are and why you should be excited about them. 

Meeting Owl app updates

The ability to manage your fleet of Owl Labs’ products through a smartphone or desktop application makes device management simple and intuitive. We’ve tweaked the UI on our iOS and Android apps to make the experience feel more natural and added a few features that will make every admin’s life easier.

• You can now connect to hidden Wi-Fi networks that don’t have a password. This is a very specific fix, but trust us, the people who requested this are very excited right now. 
• You can now restart a Meeting Owl directly from the iOS app.  
• You can also now disconnect a Meeting Owl from a Wi-Fi network. 
  

Meeting Owl 3 software updates

The Meeting Owl 3 is our most advanced Meeting Owl camera. Its best-in-class, AI-powered video and audio capabilities make sure every team member feels included in meetings, regardless of whether they are in the office or not. We’ve added a few new features this year that make the Meeting Owl 3 even more effective at creating a natural meeting experience for a hybrid workforce. 

• We added support for streaming the Meeting Owl 3’s video with 360p resolution. 
• We made improvements to the Meeting Owl 3’s video that enable richer colors, sharper images, reduced latency, more accurate exposure levels, and a truer-to-life aspect ratio. We also improved exposure levels to make sure everyone can be clearly seen, even in low light spaces. 
• We made improvements to the Meeting Owl 3’s audio capabilities which reduced unwanted echos and enhanced the microphone so that people with quiet voices can always be clearly heard. We even made the Owl’s startup “hoot” a bit softer… we don’t want to scare you!

Nest updates

The Nest is Owl Labs’ remote management platform that gives you the ability to manage your entire fleet of Owl products. Thanks to The Nest, users can seamlessly manage all their Owl devices from one location, gather analytics about each device, and easily add and sync additional Owl devices using Owl Connect technology. We added a few key features to The Nest that give you even more visibility and control over your Owl products. 

• In addition to quality of life UI improvements, The Nest is now able to bulk update Owl device software right from the “Devices” page. This makes it easy for admins to see if their Owl devices are functioning as intended. 
• The Nest now allows authorized users to adjust their company’s data sharing settings. 
• Authorized users of The Nest are now able to go into the “Settings” section and remove the Owl Labs logo from the Owl’s video if they desire.
